Quality Education
The Sonoma Valley offers schools and other educational resources for children of every age and need. Serving more than 4,500 students, the Sonoma Valley Unified School District oversees five elementary schools, two charter schools, two middle schools, a comprehensive high school, and an alternative education high school. The Kenwood School District oversees one elementary school. Seven private schools serve children from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Throughout the Valley, professional,
experienced, and caring staffs work closely with parents and the wider
community to raise academic performance to the highest standards and
prepare students for future success. The Chamber’s Business Education Roundtable (BERT),
for example, gives students the opportunity to interact with local
employers, find jobs, receive workplace training, and develop
career-building skills.
